Family caregivers who provide round-the-clock care for their loved ones are under constant stress. They must juggle the needs of the person being cared for, their family, and their job. This can stretch them to their limits. To prevent this, appropriate financial support is available. Every person in need of care with care level 2 or higher is entitled to €1,612 per year for respite and preventative care. This amount increases to €2,418 if no short-term care is required.
